Personal Equipment List

Clothing

• Official Scout uniform(s) for your current Scouting position (Note: A complete uniform includes the official shirt; scout shorts or long pants, scout skirt or culottes; scout socks; and web scout belt. A neckerchief, slide and course cap will be provided.)

• Sweater or jacket (wool/polar fleece recommended)

• Rain gear (poncho or rain suit)

• Long underwear*

• Hiking boots or shoes

• Gloves or mittens & glove liners

• Underwear

• Coat (WARM!)*

• 2 scout t-shirts*

• 2 pair heavy wool socks*

• 2 pair lighter inner socks (polypropolene)*

Camping

• Folding Cot (1st week-end only, use in conjunction with sleeping pad to block cold air from below.)

• Ground/Sleeping pad

• Sleeping bag – WARM! at least 20º (in stuff sack lined with plastic bag)

• Sleeping clothes (worn only in sleeping bag- sweatshirt, pants, socks, stocking cap)

• Tent**

• Backpack for carrying your gear to campsite

• Daypack/book bag for carrying misc. items in camp

• Lightweight, portable camp chair/pad

Eating

• Cup

• Deep bowl or plate

• Spoon, fork, knife in ziploc bag

• 2 one-quart water bottles

Personal

• Toiletries (including towel)

• Handkerchief

• Medication in labeled containers

• Chapstick

• Sunblock

• Flashlight with extra batteries/bulb

• Small pocketknife or multi tool-type knife (no fixed blade knives)

• Pens, pencils

• Matches in waterproof container

Optional

• Pillow

• Camp shoes

• Shower gear (located outside, heated water)

• Sunglasses

• Camera/film

• Religious book(s)

• Books of camp songs, skits, etc.
